Douglas Bailey :

Douglas has been involved in the golf industry for many years. Previous to starting Prime Golf in 2007 Douglas has been the Manager of many courses including The Golf Club Kennedy Bay, now renamed The Links Kennedy Bay and proudly managed by Prime Golf.

Douglas left his homeland of Scotland in 1997 where he first started in the golf industry as a 17 year old university student before moving down to York, England to promote golf for many PGA tournaments such as The British Masters.

His knowledge of the Perth golf market began when he started his own inbound golf tour business in 1999 which he later sold in 2004. After nearly 2 years with IMG at Kennedy Bay Douglas moved to Victoria and managed The Golf Club St Andrews Beach, The Golf Club Bass Coast and continued to oversee The Golf Club Kennedy Bay in Perth.

Struggling to maintain any golf handicap of recent times, however if pushed he plays off around 16.

Peter Whittle :

General Manager, The Links Kennedy Bay.

Peter has been involved within the golf and leisure industry for over 15 years.

He turned professional in 1990 and became a full member of the British P.G.A. in 1993.

After several years of tournament golf and teaching, Peter made the move into administration roles at management level within various golf clubs in the UK before immigrating to the Perth area with his wife, Jan and two children in September 2006.

He joined at Kennedy Bay in October 2006 and accepted the role of Director of Golf in January 2007 and appointed General Manager in July 2007.

Peter enjoys mixing and playing in social and corporate golf events, hopefully providing valuable playing tips to partners from his years as a teaching pro plus he does take some pleasure in the occasional shot that reminds him of form he used to possess when he had full control of his golf swing.

Jack McCarthy

General Manager, Kalgoorlie Golf Course
Jack has been working in the golf industry for over 15 years. Upon completing his schooling at the University of Ottawa and a Post Graduate in Professional Golf Management at Toronto’s Humber College he worked for three years at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club in British Columbia. In 1999 he made the move to Perth, Western Australia and has held various management roles since at leading facilities including Joondalup Resort, Meadow Springs Golf and Country Club, The Links Kennedy Bay, and his current role as General Manager at the brand new Graham Marsh designed Kalgoorlie Golf Course.

He has also sat as an Advisory Board Member for the Australian Institute of Golf Management and served as a Golf Operations and Retail lecturer for the school.

A former member of the Canadian PGA, Jack has turned his love of golf developed firstly as a competitive Junior Golfer, he was the Newfoundland Juvenile Champion in 1989 and represented his province in that year’s Canadian Junior Championship, into a successful career at the club management level.

He still enjoys his rare forays onto the course but prefers social golf with friends and colleagues versus competing. When not at work or on the links, Jack enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and their young twins, Xavier and Liliana. He looks forward to the day they can walk and start grooming their golf swings!
